Snowy Engagement Session at Fish Creek Falls in Steamboat, CO

I’ll admit that after driving through a blizzard on Rabbit Ears Pass to get to Fish Creek Falls outside of Steamboat, CO I started to feel a little foolish about doing this session. But as I made my way down into the valley of Steamboat, the wind died down and the large flakes of snow slowly falling everywhere was breathtaking. I made a stop at my favorite ski shop and loaded up on hand warmers and yak tracks for our adventure, then headed up the hill to one of my favorite spots outside of town. Fish Creek Falls was surprisingly quiet, it felt like we had this popular trail all to ourselves!

Logan and Jamie were so fun to photograph, they giggled and laughed the whole time, all while seriously freezing their butts off. I had the best time tromping around fresh pillows of snow with these two, and I can’t wait to do it all over again for their wedding at La Joya Dulce Ranch next winter.

Emily and Sean are the salt of the earth kind of people. I love their lifestyle, and how they raise their kids to work hard alongside them and to play even harder. If anyone deserves a double rainbow at their portrait session, it would be them 🌈🌈
