Loveland Colorado Photography Locations for Family Photos

These are a few of my go-to photography locations for Loveland family portraits!

1.) Riverโ€™s Edge Natural Area

I love doing family sessions and senior photos at this spot near downtown Loveland. The trees, trails, ponds, and tall grasses look great in the summer and fall. The river is also nearby, and there are some great, shaded spots for photos there too. You can bring dogs here!

2.) Devilโ€™s Backbone

This is a wonderful spot any time of year, because of the interesting rock formations and mountain views. In the summer and fall there are a lot of nice mature trees and tall grass. This place requires a photography permit, which is $25 p/session and there is a parking fee of $10 as well. You can bring dogs and horses here!

3.) Bobcat Ridge in Masonville, CO

Bobcat Ridge is a 20 minute drive from Loveland, and I love the variety of scenes it offers. There are some really cool old barns and corrals, trees, and interesting rock formations. You can also park trailers here so itโ€™s a great spot to do photos with your horses, dogs are not allowed.

4.) Sandstone Ranch in Longmont, CO

This location is a 20-30 minute drive from Loveland, CO and I love it because of the sandstone rock formations, the ponds, and the old barns and corrals. You have a lot of variety here! Dogs are allowed at this park. It can get pretty crowded on weekend evenings- so you have to time it right.
